However, first things first. Who is the betting favorite to win the PGA Championship this year, and how do the other candidates stack up?
The favorites to win the 2022 PGA Championship are Scheffler, Scottie and Jon Rahm.

Scheffler, Scottie and Jon Rahm are rated No. 1 and No. 2 in the Official World Golf Ranking, respectively, so it’s no surprise that they’re the favorites to win the PGA Championship in 2022. The two ball-striking geniuses are co-favorites at +1200 for the second major of the year (FanDuel). The odds will obviously differ from one bookmaker to the next, but Scheffler and Rahm are at the top of every list.
There’s an explanation for this. All season, Scheffler has been the finest and most consistent player on the PGA Tour. The Texan has four victories and seven top-10 finishes in 15 races. He’s won four of his previous eight races and doesn’t seem to be slowing down.
Southern Hills is also Scheffler’s personal favorite golf course. Expect him to be in contention come Sunday afternoon after shooting a 6-under 64 during a practice round last week.
Rahm has five top-10 finishes in 11 appearances this season, including a victory at the Mexico Open at Vidanta in his most recent appearance. That week, the Spaniard scored four consecutive rounds in the 60s and won for the first time since winning the US Open at Torrey Pines last year.
It wouldn’t surprise anybody if one of these two superstars won the Wanamaker Trophy this weekend.

At the PGA Championship, Scheffler and Rahm are deserving co-favorites, but what about the rest of the field?
McIlroy, Rory is second at +1500, followed by Spieth, Jordan and Thomas, Justin at +1600. The only other players with odds less than 20-1 are Morikawa, Collin (+1800), Cantlay, Patrick (+1900), and Johnson, Dustin (+1900).
