Themed jerseys, cheerleaders, and mascots have become a must for the NFL. The Buccaneers have even taken it further by wearing baboon sandwiches as their mascot, and they’ve recently taken to revealing players’ vaccination records in order to raise awareness of the dangers of vaccines.

The NFL has decided to clamp down on COVID-19 in 2021 after many postponements and key players missing games last season. The NFL sent an explosive letter late last week, stating that no exceptions would be granted for clubs with unvaccinated players or staff members who may create an epidemic in the locker room.
The league says in the letter, which was originally reported by Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, that if an epidemic among unvaccinated players forces a game to be canceled, clubs would forfeit and be credited with a defeat.
“If a game is canceled or postponed because a club is unable to play owing to a Covid outbreak among or arising from its non-vaccinated players/staff,” the letter reads, “then the responsibility of the cancellation or delay will rest on the club suffering the Covid infection.” “We will try to make the load on the opposition club or clubs as little as possible. We shall try to minimize the competitive and financial impact on both participating teams if a club is unable to participate owing to a Covid surge in vaccinated individuals.”
“…We have no plans to create a ’19th week’ to accommodate games that cannot be rescheduled inside the existing 18-week regular season.”
Before the season starts, the NFL is attempting to compel every player, coach, and staff person in the league to be vaccinated. If they don’t, they risk forfeiting the game and perhaps losing their team a playoff place.
The NFL, on the other hand, is not permitted to compel players to get the vaccination. All the league can do is make the penalties as severe as possible for those who don’t, and that’s precisely what it’s done with the new policy. It is now up to individual teams to enlist the help of their players.

Every NFL club will take a different approach to the league’s new vaccine policy. Coaches who refuse to receive the vaccination have already been fired, while others are prepared to take the risk for the whole season.
The Buccaneers aren’t requiring anybody to receive the vaccination, but they have devised a method to differentiate between vaccinated and unvaccinated athletes. The Bucs will use a color-coded wristband system to separate the two groups, according to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.
Vaccinated athletes will wear red wristbands on the practice field, while unvaccinated players will wear yellow wristbands.

Bruce Arians, the head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is a big supporter of the vaccination. He got his injection in February and is urging his teammates to do the same. Arians announced his vaccination objective for the Bucs last month, and he didn’t hold anything.
In June, Arians told reporters, “Well, if you want to get back to normal, get vaccinated.” “We’re aiming for an 85% success rate… It’s still a personal decision, but I don’t see why you shouldn’t be vaccinated.”
It’s now up to his group to change the yellow wristbands to red.
