The NBA’s Golden State Warriors have been the best team in the league for a few years now. In fact, they’re so good that they’re almost unbeatable. That is, until this year when they lost their first game to the New Orleans Pelicans.

The prisco picks week 1 2021 is a football prediction that was released on the 4th of September, 2018.

Giannis Antetokounmpo doesn’t do much public trash talking, except for a brawl with Drake during a Toronto Raptors game. The Greek Freak may toss some nasty mugs about, but for the most part, he prefers to let his performance speak for itself.

Early in his career, things were a little different, like the time Antetokounmpo shouted out the New York Knicks and then came up the next night to back it up by leading the Milwaukee Bucks to a double-digit victory.

Before their January 2015 game, Giannis Antetokounmpo had some history with the New York Knicks.

“Perhaps in 15-20 years, my number will be up there with Kareem, Oscar Robertson… I hope I’ll be there.”

Antetokounmpo made his first career start against the New York Knicks. He was tasked with guarding Carmelo Anthony, and Milwaukee was defeated in extra OT. The previous scoring champion, though, was concerned by Antetokounmpo’s length and agility, as Giannis told NBA.com after the game:

“I hold him in high regard. He’s one of the greatest players on the squad, but he can’t start harassing my teammates and myself by constantly talking to me. I tried not to retaliate, and you must respect him. If he continues it all night, you won’t be able to concentrate on your game, so you’ll have to react and urge him to stop. I don’t care who you are while I’m out there. It’s simply a jersey to me.”

In his first NBA start, Giannis Antetokounmpo talks about playing Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks.

As a 19-year-old rookie, the current NBA champion averaged only 6.8 points per game. When Antetokounmpo faced Melo and the Knicks again the following season, he was averaging 11.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, and shooting almost 50% from the field.

Prior to their game against the Bucks on January 15, the Knicks had lost 15 consecutive games. Anthony was still one of the greatest scorers in the league, but his production wasn’t converting into victories, and New York was suffering.

The night before the game, Antetokounmpo took two shots at the Knicks (although one may have been unintentional). To begin, he suggested that New York call up his brother, Thanasis, from the D-League (now the G-League), to assist the club.

Then, according to SI.com, he went on to say:

“I don’t believe the Knicks have to lose. They’ve now lost 15 games in a row. Tomorrow will be the sixteenth day of the year. They don’t stand to lose anything.”

In 2015, Antetokounmpo will face the Knicks.

The two teams went to London for the game, but Milwaukee seemed unfazed. The Bucks won 95-79 because to Antetokounmpo’s outstanding all-around performance. He was a plus-13 on the night with 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals. With 25 points, Anthony was the game’s leading scorer, but Milwaukee’s two-time Defensive Player of the Year pushed him into 8 turnovers and a minus-19 rating.

Antetokounmpo’s career took off against the Knicks, and he hasn’t looked back.

Against the Knicks, the five-time all-star got his first career start. His whole stat line had almost quadrupled by the time he played them during his sophomore season. That night, he assisted in holding one of the greatest scorers in the NBA and New York to a total of less than 80 points.

Since then, Antetokounmpo has gone a long way. He has won back-to-back MVP awards, been selected to the all-defensive team four times, been named to the All-NBA team five times, and has won a championship and been voted Finals MVP. He’s established himself as one of the greatest players in the game, if not the best.

The media and on the court, a public demolition of one of the league’s most historic teams was only one step on the road there.

ESPN provided all statistics.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Has Always Regarded Khris Middleton as a ‘Big-Time Player’: ‘He is the driving force behind this team’s success.
