In a video posted on Instagram, Jessie Armstead and Justin Tuck surprise Eli Manning with a visit to his home. The quarterback is shown talking to the two former Giants as he sits in front of his fireplace.
The New York Giants Legend Surprised by Eli Manning, Jessie Armstead, and Justin Tuck is a story about Eli Manning’s retirement. This retired football player is surprised to see his former teammates at the Super Bowl, but he has a good time. Read more in detail here: is eli manning retired.
The New York Giants have a long and illustrious history. The outfit has been worn by a number of great players. Few players have had a greater impact on the franchise than Michael Strahan. Former Giants teammates Eli Manning, Justin Tuck, and Jessie Armstead surprised him at his present position to announce his departure from the club.
On ‘Good Morning America,’ Michael Strahan gets surprised by Eli Manning, Justin Tuck, and Jessie Armstead.
Since his retirement from the NFL in 2007, Michael Strahan has kept himself occupied. He got his media career off to a flying start, and he’s been doing well in his new field. The seven-time Pro Bowler is now a co-host of ABC’s Good Morning America and a part of FOX’s NFL pregame programs. He also presents The $100,000 Pyramid, a game program.
Strahan’s former colleagues made a surprise visit on Good Morning America recently to give the shocking news to their buddy. As Justin Tuck and Jessie Armstead came from backstage, Eli Manning clumsily stepped out of a box, and confetti poured down. Strahan’s famous No. 92 jersey was worn by all three players.
On Nov. 28, when the New York Giants play the Philadelphia Eagles, the Hall of Famer’s jersey will be formally retired.

Michael Strahan was selected with the No. 40 overall selection in the second round of the 1993 NFL Draft by the New York Giants. He attended Texas Southern University during his collegiate football career. As a senior, he set a school record with 19 sacks and was awarded the Southwestern Athletic Conference Player of the Year.
It’s unusual for a player to spend his whole career with the same team, but Strahan did. He spent 15 seasons with the Giants, where he was a key member of the defense. In his career, the Houston, Texas native started 205 games and amassed 854 tackles, 141.5 sacks, and 24 forced fumbles. Strahan also had four interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns.
He has been named to the NFL All-Pro team four times. In 2021, he was named Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year. The defensive end is now at No. 10 on the NFL’s all-time sacks list.
Strahan was a key member of the Giants’ defense, helping the club to two Super Bowl appearances. In Super Bowl XLII, he defeated Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, capping off a remarkable career.
Good Morning America, according to Strahan, is more frightening than the NFL.
On The Tonight Show, Michael Strahan spoke with Jimmy Fallon about his NFL career and current business endeavors.
When he was playing, Michael Strahan was a fearsome presence on the field, particularly for unwary quarterbacks. He did confess, though, that he was nervous when he first walked into the New York Giants locker room as a rookie. Strahan said, “I’m not a huge man, but I’m watching these grown guys.” He was 6-foot-5 and 255 pounds, but these men were much larger, according to him.
The Super Bowl champion remembers being awestruck by Lawrence Taylor of the Giants. He quickly recognized he belonged and had the necessary skills to compete at the top level. But playing against some of the world’s biggest athletes isn’t the most terrifying thing he’s ever done.
On Good Morning America, Fallon praised Strahan’s efforts. It wasn’t easy to make the move from the football field to daytime television, however. He said that being in the locker room with the big ol’ guys was more frightening. “You feel more pressure than I ever felt on the football field because of the general pressure.”
He didn’t expect to be on television after football, but he’s gotten used to it. After his playing days are gone, he’s the model for success. He put himself to the test, and it paid off.
Michael Strahan is a winner whether he’s on the field for the New York Giants or on TV.
