The Philadelphia Eagles traded Carson Wentz to the Los Angeles Rams for a package of draft picks. The Colts then used one of those picks to acquire him, giving them another chance to win the Super Bowl.

The indianapolis colts roster is a team that has had a lot of success in recent years. They are currently the only undefeated team in the NFL.

Despite their uninspiring 2-4 record, the Indianapolis Colts have been improving over the past three weeks. They thrashed the Miami Dolphins in Week 4 and the Houston Texans in Week 6, and came within a field goal of defeating the resurgent Baltimore Ravens in Week 5.

Carson Wentz, in particular, is playing well, which is probably more significant than the team’s current physical win-loss record. Wentz threw over 400 yards for the first time in his career against the Ravens, has only thrown one interception all season, and topped all quarterbacks in PFF grade during Week 6.

Wentz cost the Colts a conditional first-round selection. It’s a huge indication that he’s back to his old self, and that things are looking up for Indianapolis.

The Indianapolis Colts are regaining their health.

Along with Wentz’s recent success, the Colts are slowly but steadily regaining their health.

T.Y. Hilton, the No. 1 wide receiver in the NFL, returned against the Texans and quickly made an impact with 80 receiving yards. Braden Smith and Quinton Nelson, both offensive lineman, have just returned to practice. Dayo Odeyingbo, a second-round pick, is also practicing for the first time this season.

In addition to their improved health, the Colts have a few cupcake games ahead of them on their schedule. Before December 5, they face the New York Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Houston Texans all three times.

The atmosphere in Indianapolis is becoming more positive by the day, and the team’s front office is taking note.

The #Colts modified WR TY Hilton’s one-year deal to free up $2.3 million in cap space, according to a source.

The front management lost little time after the Colts’ stunning Week 6 victory in planning their next move.

Indianapolis modified T.Y. Hilton’s deal, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, freeing approximately $2.3 million in salary space to “help them operate.” With the trade deadline approaching, it’s fair to believe the Colts were thinking about moves when they made this move.

Chris Ballard, the general manager of the Indianapolis Colts, has a reputation for being quiet when it comes to bringing in new players. However, he has shown a desire to strengthen the squad and win if he believes it is possible. As the offseason Wentz trade demonstrates.

If Ballard is serious in bolstering Wentz’s and the Colts’ roster, he may go after a few different positions.

For starters, owing to numerous ailments, the offensive line has been a continuous focus all year. Ballard might keep waiting for everyone to be well. However, there is no such thing as too much depth. Getting a good backup tackle is a good idea.

In addition, the Colts’ defense is inept. During their overtime defeat to Lamar Jackson and the Ravens, their inability to make a key stop late in games was on full show. Adding a new defensive back or two makes a lot of sense for Indianapolis. Even more defensive line depth would be beneficial.

Regardless of whatever position Ballard chooses, the Colts seem to be poised to make a trade before the deadline this year. Contract restructuring is usually avoided by general managers unless there is a compelling need to do so.
