In recent years, no golfer has enjoyed a more prosperous career than Rickie Fowler, who’s already racked up a slew of career achievements. With a first-place finish at the PGA Championship and wins at the U.S. Open and the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, it’s safe to say that he’s amassed quite the resume. However, a PGA Tour season that’s “disappointing” and “abysmal” is more than his critics would like to see – and it’s not exactly what his fans would want to see, either.

There were several factors that contributed to Fowler’s precipitous drop in performance this season. Coming into the 2016-17 season, Fowler was in the midst of a career year on the PGA Tour, winning four tournaments and gaining a reputation as a threat to the big names in the game. He has also been known to struggle with his putting, a skill that is integral to his game. This year, he has struggled with both putting and his putting stroke.

If you’re a golfer, you’ve probably heard that Rickie Fowler is having a terrible year. His world ranking took a dip, his golf game has become rather unexciting, and it’s not even close to being the worst year he’s had. Fowler’s biggest problem has been his tees, which have been completely out of whack: he’s been a worse golfer than he should be, thanks to poor counting skills that have resulted in him playing poorly.. Rickie Fowler had a year of firsts on the PGA Tour in 2021, but not in the manner he had planned.

For the first time since becoming a full-time PGA Tour member in 2010, Fowler failed to automatically qualify for three of the year’s four major events. For the first time since his rookie season, he has dropped out of the top 100 in the Official World Golf Ranking. And now he’s in serious danger of missing the FedEx Cup playoffs for the first time in his career.

Fowler has been one of the most consistent golfers in the game since joining the PGA Tour full-time in 2010. As a rookie, the elegant golfer rapidly climbed into the top 50 in the OWGR, reaching as high as No. 4 by 2016.

Fowler, on the other hand, fell out of the top 50 at the conclusion of last season, and his slide has only accelerated in 2021.

Fowler fell to No. 128 in the world a few months ago, his lowest position in more than a decade. He’s missed eight cuts in 22 tournaments this season, with just five top-25 finishes and one top-10 result. He’s never gone a complete season without a top-five finish, but that streak is on the verge of being broken this year.

For the first time in his career, Fowler did not automatically qualify for the Masters, PGA Championship, or US Open this season. He barely made the PGA field due to a special exemption, but he didn’t have the same success in the other two majors.

The 32-year-chances old’s of making the FedEx Cup playoffs are currently on a knife’s edge.

Fowler’s chances of making the FedEx Cup playoffs are little to none.

Since becoming a full-time PGA Tour member, Fowler has advanced to the FedEx Cup playoffs every year. Over the past decade, he’s made it to the TOUR Championship at East Lake six times, finishing as high as fourth in the season-long battle for the cup.

With just three weeks left in the regular season, Fowler finds himself in a precarious situation at 124th in the FedEx Cup rankings, two spots short of missing the playoffs altogether.

Fowler would finish his career-worst season in humiliating way if he slips below the 125-man barrier before The Northern Trust on Aug. 19.

“I know I’m close,” Fowler says.

Fowler had a missed cut, a T32, and a T53 in his past three Tour appearances, but he still thinks his game is on the verge of connecting for the first time in a long time. He seemed optimistic ahead of this weekend’s 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities that he’ll be able to get back into shape to complete the season.

“It seems to be constantly moving in the correct direction in the direction we’ve been going. Fowler told reporters on Wednesday, “But I know I’m close.” “It simply hasn’t all come together yet.” If you speak to other players or anybody who has gone through some kind of ups and downs, they will tell you that this is how golf and life work.

“Sometimes all it takes is one putt and one swing. It’s been great to see some more consistency or at least movement in the right direction during the past several months. So, although I’m pleased with where we’ve arrived, we still have a ways to go to get to where we want to be.”

The time is running out.

The PGA Tour provided all statistics.

Collin Morikawa has won his second major championship, but he doesn’t have much time to celebrate before the most important golf tournament of his career begins.

Last year Rickie Fowler had the best season of his career, winning the U.S. Open and the Masters. Others had called it “the best year ever” for the Arizona State product, and he was named the PGA Tour Player of the Year. Now, he has a chance to make another one of his biggest statements as an elite golfer.. Read more about rickie fowler 2021 schedule and let us know what you think.
