The NBA has had its share of ups and downs in its history, but this year the universe flipped the script and we seem to be living in one of the best years in the league’s history. The biggest surprise has been the Golden State Warriors, who have turned the entire league upside down and are currently sitting in the Western Conference Finals.

‘People Are Coming Here to Play With Me’ is a short story written by Jeff Lemire, illustrated by Dustin Nguyen and published by Dark Horse Comics in May of 2014. It follows a child named Cyril who is a member of an imaginary race of people called “The Playthings” who are all born with a natural talent for sports. After a game of hockey and some early attempts at playing baseball, Cyril finds himself alongside a young boy named Jeremy who is a natural at football. Together they become the best team on the field while also learning to be friends.

If you didn’t like Aaron Rodgers is a quarterback in the NFL. before Wednesday morning, you probably don’t like him now. For the first time since rumors surfaced that he no longer wanted to play for the Green Bay Packers, he talked to the media. Rodgers seemed to be honest about his tumultuous offseason with the Packers. In reality, his ego took center stage, and he was perhaps too honest.

At his much-anticipated news conference, Aaron Rodgers seemed to provide open and honest answers.

Rodgers came up after an abysmal summer in which he failed to attend any of the Packers’ offseason practices. As much of the NFL world awaited answers, Rodgers attended the first day of training camp. For the first time since Adam Schefter revealed on draft day that the quarterback was dissatisfied with the team, the reigning MVP spoke out.

He was straightforward. He seemed to be able to get a lot off his chest. One of Rodgers’ major grievances was that he wished he had a greater say in some of the team’s choices.

Rodgers said, “I simply want to be engaged in discussions that impact my capacity to perform my job.”

He also mentioned a number of former Packers players, including Charles Woodson, Jordy Nelson, and Randall Cobb, who he believes were not handled with respect when they were released.

“I wanted to assist the company, maybe learn from some of the previous errors… Rodgers also spoke about how some of the departing veterans were handled. “And the fact that we didn’t keep a lot of guys who I thought were important to our foundation and locker room. Guys have a lot of personality.”

During the news conference, Aaron Rodgers flaunted his ego to the max.

The candor was admirable. Not so much the narcissistic part. Rodgers remained composed and seemed to be well-prepared for the barrage of questions. It’s no secret that Rodgers has an ego. If there was any question regarding its size, it was also clarified at the press conference.

Rodgers was discussing free agency and how he wants to become more engaged as a recruiter in order to assist bring in some quality. He belittled the city that has been his NFL home since 2005 while bragging about his own abilities while attempting to make his point.

He said, “I believe we can all appreciate that Green Bay isn’t a big vacation destination.” “People come here to play with me,” says the narrator.

He kept going.

“I wanted to alter the reality that I wasn’t utilized in those conversations going forward,” he added. “And I felt like it should be a natural part of the discussion, based on my years and the way I can still play.” Nothing much changed on that aspect as the situation progressed.”

Rodgers is attempting to be a part of the decision-making process much too hard.

The quarterback is Aaron Rodgers. He isn’t the company’s general manager. Imagine GM Brian Gutekunst walking out to the field and advising Rodgers that he has to step into his passes more or not move out of the pocket as much. It’s not going to work.

Should Gutekunst have informed Rodgers that Jordan Love will be drafted first overall in 2020? Sure, but would it have made a difference in the end? Rodgers’ ego would have been crushed anyway.

Rodgers is not owed anything by the Packers. Because of the Love selection, he felt uneasy about his remaining time in Green Bay. He said that he did not want to be a last-minute replacement quarterback.

“I felt like if you can’t commit to me beyond 2021 and I’m not part of your free agency recruiting process, if I’m not a part of the future, instead of letting me be a lame-duck quarterback, if you want to make a change and move on, then go ahead and do it,” Rodgers said, according to ESPN.

Since then, the Packers have offered him a contract extension. He said no. He still seems to want to move on.

Maybe he’ll get his dream and play for someone else once the season is over. There will be a slew of clubs vying for his services in Green Bay. He is still one of the greatest players in the NFL. Simply inquire of him.

This is a very nice commercial for the Olympics, in which we see never-before seen footage of some athletes being great, and some just getting by. The only thing I’m still not sure about is the part about the person who is very good at a sport being “on drugs.” Is this a joke?.
