In a recent interview, Brooks Koepka revealed that he had recently gone to dinner with his mortal enemy, Bryson DeChambeau. The two golfers have been at odds since last year when Koepka called DeChambeau’s game “cheating.” Despite their differences, the two went out for dinner and didn’t rip each other’s heads off.
The what did bryson dechambeau say to brooks koepka is a question that has been on the minds of many golf fans. Recently, Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau went to dinner together and somehow didn’t rip each other’s heads off.
At this stage in their ugly rivalry, Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka can’t even be near one other. It’s obvious that neither PGA Tour pro is interested in putting an end to their feud, and they’re both quite happy to continue their respective careers.
But, with both DeChambeau and Koepka representing Team USA at the Ryder Cup on the weekend of Sept. 24, this month will undoubtedly be a test for their eroding friendship. Recently, the two rivals were obliged to dine together with team captain Steve Stricker, and they managed to avoid poisoning one other’s food or starting a food fight from across the table.

The rivalry between DeChambeau and Koepka dates back to 2019, when Koepka complained about DeChambeau’s sluggish play. It to a head at the PGA Championship this year, when a video of Koepka rolling his eyes in disdain as DeChambeau walked behind him during a post-round interview went viral.
It’s just grown worse since then.
On Twitter, the two Americans started exchanging barbs, prompting golf fans to take sides in the feud. At competitions, fans began taunting DeChambeau by dubbing him “Brooksie,” which irritated the big-hitting scientist. When DeChambeau broke up with his caddy and complained about his driver at the Open Championship, Koepka continued to criticize him.
For both players, the issue has become a huge distraction, but Koepka sees it as a good for the sport.
“I believe it is beneficial to the game. In June, Koepka stated, “I truly do.” “I believe it’s a good thing that golf is on pretty much every news source for roughly two weeks fairly regularly. It’s about expanding the game.”
They’ve maintained their distance all year, but in preparation for the Ryder Cup, they’ll be forced to work together this month.
DeChambeau and Koepka recently shared a meal together.

DeChambeau and Koepka want nothing to do with one other, but that won’t be an option this month since both players have already qualified for the 2021 Ryder Cup for the United States. That includes getting along at team meetings, practicing in close proximity, and cheering each other on at Whistling Straits.
The two rivals recently had to work together at a team dinner hosted by Stricker for the six automatic qualifiers before of the TOUR Championship earlier this month. Stricker, DeChambeau, Koepka, Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay, Dustin Johnson, and Collin Morikawa were all seated at the same table, discussing strategy and bonding. How much would a table directly next to that group have cost you?
Despite the events that have occurred between the two this year, DeChambeau and Koepka were surprisingly polite over dinner.
According to Golf Digest, Koepka stated of the meal, “It was excellent.” “The food was delicious. We simply spoke about everything that’s going on right now, what we’re doing to prepare for it, and who we think would be a good fit for the team if they were there. It was a delicious meal. We had a good time and had a good time.”
Koepka is usually a straight shooter when it comes to the media, so he may be sugarcoating things a little. If anything had happened that night, he would have most certainly told us everything.
Will the two Americans be able to work along at the Ryder Cup?
During the Ryder Cup later this month, DeChambeau and Koepka will not become best friends or even talk to one other, but they will have to get along. The team’s ability to bond and support one another on and off the golf course is crucial to their success at the biennial tournament, so they’ll have little option but to put the feud aside for a week.
Stricker is optimistic that the two can work together for a few days.
According to Reuters, the team captain stated last month, “They promised me that the squad, the nation, and everything else that goes into this is their (first concern).” “They assured me it wouldn’t be a problem, and I trust them. They have my confidence. It’s been put to rest, as far as I’m concerned.”
It’s safe to conclude that a possible coupling between the two won’t materialize. In any case, the build-up to the Ryder Cup will be a fascinating tale to watch.
