The Celtics came out swinging Tuesday night, a game after being humbled at home in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The goal, according to Udoka, was to send a message to the Bucks.
According to ESPN, after Game 2, Udoka said, “We wanted to match their physicality and punch back tonight.” “One of the main messages was to show them who we are.”
That is exactly what they did.
The Celtics never trailed, racing up to 7-0 and 18-3 leads early on. It never seemed like their lead was in jeopardy throughout the game. With 25 points in the first half, Celtics guard Jaylen Brown set the tone. He had a game-high 30 points.
“It’s the playoffs,” he says. “That’s all there is to it,” Brown concluded. “We couldn’t allow one game determine the outcome of the series, so we needed to be proactive right away.”

Williams was well aware that the Celtics were playing as though their season was on the line. He came off the bench for 35 minutes, and they were challenging minutes.
His major goal was to make Antetokounmpo’s life tough. The mission has been completed. Despite giving up five inches to the Bucks star, Williams was able to play rough with him and irritate him all night.
Williams said that the Greek Freak was his first focus, and that he was oblivious to anything else.
After the game, Williams stated, “I regard it as defending him on an island.” “It’s just you and him, and you’ve got to get your work done.” For this game, we regarded it in a similar light.
“In the second half, he became a lot more aggressive, getting downhill and creating for himself.” It’s simply one of those situations when you have to bunker down and trust the work you’ve done while doing your best to contain one of the finest players on the planet.”
Williams not only played well on defense, but he also shot 6-for-9 from beyond the arc. He scored 21 points on seven of his 14 shots throughout the contest. In addition, he grabbed five rebounds.

The Celtics have morphed into a different squad since the end of January. They were tied at 25-25 after 50 games. They went 26-6 during the regular season and swept the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the playoffs. Their suffocating defense is responsible for their turnaround.
