Mike Tyson appeared on the Roast of James Toney and explained how his wife had predicted he would fight again. The boxing great said that she called him after a conversation with an IRS agent convinced her to believe in Mike’s comeback.
Mike Tyson, the former heavyweight champion of the world, was recently asked by a reporter what he would do if he lost his fortune and had to go back to work. Tyson responded with “I’ll be boxing.” Read more in detail here: mike tyson net worth.
Mike Tyson has recounted a lot of crazy anecdotes throughout the years. He’s spoken about his 40 arrests before the age of thirteen. He’s spoken up about his time behind bars. Tyson has been at the top of the world and at the lowest.
Then there’s the lady from the Internal Revenue Service. Tyson said last week that despite stating he’d never fight again, a woman working at the IRS predicted he’d return to the ring.
Mike Tyson was a legendary boxer who dominated his era.

Tyson rose from a background of crime and poverty to become the world’s youngest heavyweight champion. Tyson was able to break into boxing as a result of all of his pre-teen offenses.
Tyron served time in a juvenile correctional institution called the Tryon School for Boys. There, he met Bobby Stewart, a former boxer who now works as a psychotherapist. Tyson was educated about the sport by Stewart, who ultimately connected him with famed trainer Cus D’Amato.
D’Amato took Tyson under his wing when his mother died when he was 16 years old. As Tyson progressed in his career, they became closer and closer.
He started his professional career with 37 wins in a row. Tyson knocked out his first 19 opponents, 12 of them in the first round.
Due to a three-year jail term, his career was put on hiatus, and when he returned to the ring, he wasn’t the same. Tyson concluded his career with 50 wins and just six defeats. 44 of the 50 victories were via knockout.
Mike Tyson recounts how his return was anticipated by the ‘tax woman.’
Tyson makes his long-awaited comeback to the ring in November 2020, in an exhibition battle against former champion Roy Jones Jr. There were various rumours that Tyson would return to the ring, potentially against Evander Holyfield, but nothing came of it.
His last professional fight had been 15 years ago, when he lost to Kevin McBride. He hadn’t battled since then, and he had no intentions to do so in the future.
He should’ve paid attention to the IRS employee who kept pushing him to go back in the ring. Tyson told the anecdote last week on his podcast Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson. Joe Rogan, Tyson’s visitor, was given the tale.
“Take a look at this,” Tyson advised Rogan. “The tax woman would call me all the time, saying, ‘Mr. Tyson, I’m sure you have something to do.’ I know you’re going to fight again, so why don’t we just have this fight and pay your bills?’
“This is the IRS, and I’m thinking, ‘What are you talking about?’ ‘Just fight,’ she urged. We know you’re going to battle once again. This is the IRS woman speaking to me in this manner.
“I told you, ma’am, I’m not fighting again.” This woman died in the end, and I fought her. Isn’t that absurd? She was absolutely correct. I never imagined I’d fight again in a million years. She had to be aware of it.”
Jones Jr. and Tyson put on a show.
As a result, the tax woman was correct. At the age of 54, Tyson faced Jones Jr. in a fight in which he dominated. Despite the fact that many feel he won the fight, no winner was proclaimed since it was an exhibition bout.
The fight brought in more than $80 million in pay-per-view revenue. According to USA Today, the fight is one of the top ten combat sports events, with 1.6 million pay-per-view sales.
Tyson expressed his happiness after the battle. He said that he would not rule out another show.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Tyson stated, “I’m delighted with a draw.” “I believed I had won, but I’m glad we were able to amuse the crowd.”
“I would do it again in a heartbeat.” I’m just glad I made it through eight rounds. Knockouts are meaningless; you must have the ability to go the distance.”
The tax woman has a lot of knowledge.
