Phil Mickelson is one of the most successful golfers in history, but he has never been a star player. He was always second to Tiger Woods and now after Phil’s wife died last year, it looks like that might not change anytime soon

The “liv golf appearance fees” is a new company that has been created by Phil Mickelson, the PGA Tour golfer. The company will make Mickelson more than double the money he earned in three decades on the tour.

Phil Mickelson has earned a ton of money over the last three decades by smashing a little, white ball about on the PGA Tour. He is without a doubt one of the most successful and influential golfers of all time. Just Tiger Woods has earned more money than Lefty when only on-course earnings are taken into consideration.

But as things stand, Mickelson will never again make a penny on the PGA Tour thanks to a hefty deal he signed with LIV Golf, the contentious upstart league financed by Saudi Arabia that is making its debut this week in London. That league, you know, that he virtually destroyed with his remarks a few months ago before it ever started. I’m not, however, here to reiterate all that foolishness.

I’m just here to say that Phil’s absurd deal with LIV Golf will pay him more than he earned playing on the PGA Tour for three decades.

More than twice as much money as Phil Mickelson earned on the PGA Tour over the course of three decades will be paid to him by LIV Golf.

Phil Mickelson at the first LIV Golf event in London ST ALBANS, ENGLAND – JUNE 09: Phil Mickelson observes action on June 9, 2022, at The Centurion Club during day one of the LIV Golf Invitational – London.

After winning on the PGA Tour for the first time as a 20-year-old amateur in January 1991, Mickelson turned professional in June 1992 and received his first payday a year and a half later. He also became one of the most successful athletes in the long and illustrious history of the sport over the course of the next three decades, making him a very wealthy guy.

Lefty shares the 12th spot on the all-time record with fellow Hall of Famers Lee Trevino and Nick Faldo thanks to his six major championship wins. He and Walter Hagen are tied for ninth place with 45 PGA Tour titles each. Additionally, Mickelson has earned $94,955,060 on the PGA Tour over the last 30 years, placing him second only behind Tiger in all-time earnings. He has undoubtedly earned much more from sponsorships than that, but for the sake of this article, we’re just considering his on-course earnings.

Obviously, we have no idea how much money the soon-to-be 52-year-old will earn playing golf for LIV Golf. But we do know that simply for participating, Mickelson receives $200 million. Although the length of his deal with LIV Golf has not yet been disclosed, does it really matter?

Phil Mickelson will earn more than twice what he did in his 30 years on the PGA Tour just for being one of the faces of this new league.

The three-time Masters champion opted not to quit the PGA Tour like some of the other LIV members, most notably Dustin Johnson and Sergio Garcia.

Players participating without releases are suspended and are not permitted to take part in TOUR-sanctioned competition, PGA TOUR Commissioner Jay Monahan notified the TOUR membership today.

But since they have all been banned, Mickelson and the others won’t be hitting the tee in a PGA Tour tournament anytime soon, or maybe ever. We will see him at the U.S. Open at Brookline next week, however, since the PGA Tour does not host the major championships.

People, stay tuned. This conflict has just started.
