The National Football League is returning! We’ve now transitioned from preseason to regular season, and we’re seeing both anticipated and unexpected power rankings. Every season has a wildcard or three — the NFL even has wildcard playoff games — and it’s exciting to watch a player with a promising future emerge. It’s always exciting to watch a club that has been on a lengthy losing streak start to look good, whether you’re a fan or not. Joe Burrow is one of those bright beams of light, and Bengals supporters are cheering him on.

Joe Burrow was the first overall pick in the 2020 draft. To live up to the anticipation of being the number one overall selection is a tall order. All too frequently, people who excelled in college fail to live up to their potential. Burrow didn’t get a chance to even attempt. That’s because the quarterback was injured during his first season with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Burrow wasn’t outstanding in the first ten weeks of the season, but he was steadily developing. The front staff and the fans were both eager to see what he could accomplish in the last part of the regular season.

Burrow, on the other hand, was eliminated in Week 10. Burrow was trapped between two defenders while playing against the Washington Football Team, and the ensuing collision tore his ACL.

The injury put an end to the season. Bengals fans were heartbroken, and the team battled to complete the season.

This season, Bengals supporters have reason to be optimistic thanks to Joe Burrow.

Burrow is back in the driver’s seat this season, with some offensive weapons provided by Cincinnati’s front office. Returning from an injury like a torn ACL is tough, and an athlete’s performance typically isn’t what it used to be, or it takes a long time to get back to where they were before.

Fans were understandably concerned, but Burrow responded with zeal and drive in Week 1.

“Who on your squad stepped up in a crucial must have moment this week?” he was asked. Bengals supporters on Reddit slammed Burrow in the greatest possible ways.

“Before our eyes, Joe Burrow is transforming into the Heisman season. Anything for a chance to win. He has complete faith in himself and his team. One Redditor wrote, “That 4th down throw in overtime took big nuts, and it was flawless.”

“I don’t know whether we’ll reach the playoffs, but this team is going to be entertaining and competitive, which is more than I can say for the past four or five seasons, so I’m pumped,” said another.

“Fun to see and really a cause to have hope,” said another Redditor.

Burrow’s return as the team’s leader has piqued the interest of fans. Only time will tell whether he continues to improve, but based on his performance before to his injury last season, Bengals fans have every cause to be pleased.

Redditors who support other clubs also added their two cents.

On a spectacular defensive play, Kansas City Chiefs’ Juan Thornhill knocked out the ball and forced a turnover.

The Minnesota Vikings’ Greg Joseph kicked two field goals over 50 yards, one of which sent the game to OT.

Even a few gamblers were shown some affection. The Eagles have a rookie punter who has been trapping Atlanta inside the 10, while Michael Dickson of the Seahawks not only recovered a botched up snap, but also punted.

Joe Burrow has been a standout for the Cincinnati Bengals since he was drafted in 2016. He has been compared to some of the best quarterbacks in NFL history, including Peyton Manning and Brett Favre. Reference: joe burrow stats.
