The Boston Celtics have finally broken the curse of 16-straight seasons without an NBA title, as they defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 119-113 on Thursday night. Despite being a “series sweep”, this game was far from clean for either teams; with LeBron James having to leave in the fourth quarter due to injury and Kyrie Irving’s struggles through three quarters. With both stars now out, it looks like Tatum and Brown are ready to take their team all the way!

The Boston Celtics have made history by surpassing the likes of Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, and Jaylen Brown. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown were drafted with the third pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. Read more in detail here: jaylen brown height.

Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown Make Boston Celtics History, Surpassing Larry Bird, Kevin McHale

The Boston Celtics swept the Sacramento Kings for the second game this season, making it two victories in a row on their current West Coast trip. After winning nine consecutive games just before All-Star Weekend, the Celtics remain one of the hottest teams in the NBA.

Boston has gone 9-2 since the break, putting them in the midst of the Eastern Conference competition. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown created team history by pushing Larry Bird and Kevin McHale down in their 126-97 victory against the Kings.

The Celtics of Boston have established themselves as credible championship contenders.

The Celtics and their supporters had a difficult year throughout the most of the year. Things appeared set in stone a year ago, when the team finished the season with a 36-36 record and was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. Boston was 25-25 after 50 games this season.

Then followed a nine-game winning run, which started with a 107-97 victory against the New Orleans Pelicans. The downturn started with back-to-back defeats to the San Antonio Spurs and the New York Knicks, despite the fact that the run began there. Boston wasted another huge lead in the Knicks game, and Udoka chastised the team’s lack of mental toughness in the locker room.

According to MassLive, Udoka stated of calling out the players, “Other people appreciated it, some people didn’t.”

Boston has gone 25-7 since that game and has established themselves as a real title contender.

“The team reacted like they have all year,” Udoka said. “We really told them to quit playing about and giving away these leads.” “We’d blown two or three 19-point leads, and we’d dropped games to Cleveland, Milwaukee on Christmas, Chicago early in the season, and then the New York game.” So it was a turning moment for us in terms of being weary of losing games in which we had built up leads.”

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown shove them other aside. Kevin McHale, Larry Bird

For the fifth time this season, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum have both scored 30 points in the same game.

Tatum and Brown would almost certainly go to any length to emulate Bird and McHale’s illustrious careers with the Celtics in the 1980s. Bird and McHale have a combined total of three championships, while Brown and Tatum are looking for their first.

The Celtics are on the right track thanks to the current Celtics tandem. Tatum and Brown moved them from one area of the record books to another, despite the fact that they are still a long way from achieving what those two Hall of Famers achieved.

In the victory against the Kings, Tatum scored 32 points and Brown contributed 30. It was the seventh time this season that they both scored 30 points in a single game. With four, Bird and McHale owned the previous record for the Celtics. That milestone may not be significant to Tatum and Brown. The most essential thing is to win.

For the time being, Boston is the victor. The players are having a good time.

According to ESPN, Tatum said, “We’re lot more positive.” “We’re having a lot more fun and we’re coming out on top.” When you’re winning, it takes care of a lot of problems. It’s always a lot of fun to play that way.”

Tatum and Brown have been instrumental in the Celtics’ remarkable turnaround.

Marcus Smart called out Tatum and Brown what seems like years ago. The two stars were publically chastised by the experienced point guard for not passing the ball sufficiently.

According to CLNS Media, he said, “Every team knows we’re trying to get to Jayson and Jaylen.” “To stop Jayson and Jaylen, every squad has been prepared and researched. Everyone’s scouting report, I believe, is to make those guys pass the ball. They are adamant about not passing the ball.”

On few instances, Udoka questioned the team’s effort. That, too, is a thing of the past.

Since then, the Celtics have climbed to fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings, four games behind first place.

Tatum and Brown may not be as good as Bird and McHale, but Boston’s two rising stars have them on the right track.

Marcus Smart chastising Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown may be just what the Boston Celtics needed.
