A week ago, LeBron James didn’t want to talk about his future with the Lakers. Now he’s saying he wants out of Cleveland after five years there. What gives?

“It’s Hard for Me to Speak on It Right Now” is a song by the band Paramore. The lyrics are about a person who is struggling to speak up and tell their feelings. This is a difficult topic for many people, but it can be done.

'It's Hard for Me to Speak on It Right Now'

When LeBron James performs a remarkable performance or establishes a new NBA record for the first time, he’ll likely be the first to tell you about it. On Saturday night, the Los Angeles Lakers great passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most aggregate regular season and playoffs points in NBA history, setting perhaps his most memorable mark to date.

He didn’t have time to rejoice afterward, however.

After 19 years in the NBA, James has a slew of records to his name. LeBron James will have a solid case for becoming the greatest NBA player of all time when he ultimately hangs up his shoes for the last time (sorry, Michael Jordan stans).

In a game against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night, he added to his lengthy list of achievements, passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most career points in the regular season and playoffs combined (44,157). Even Stephen Curry, LeBron’s longtime nemesis, had to praise The King.

“Thinking about how many games he’s played and how long he’s been doing it is mind-boggling. Curry noted after the game, “The length of it all is legendary.” “There is no true end in sight when you’ve played that many games, participated in so many different playoff runs, won championships, and done it year after year.” That’s a very remarkable achievement.”

James ordinarily would’ve delighted to discuss how much passing a Lakers great in NBA history meant to him, but after yet another defeat, he couldn’t.

LeBron James was unable to toast his new record.

After the game, James was asked whether he had broken the all-time points record, and his reaction was not what we’ve come to expect from him.

“It’s difficult for me to talk about it right now since I despise doing anything in a defeat.” And today we had a chance to win a huge game,” James remarked.

He said, “I’ve been grateful for the chance to play this game at the top level.” “Basketball is one of my favorite sports. I like being a part of the NBA and having the opportunity to influence so many different generations. “I suppose it’s a huge thing.”

I suppose? And that’s how LeBron reacts after becoming the all-time leading scorer in NBA history? But it’s hard to blame him, given that he’s in the midst of the most miserable season of his career.

A season that is beyond repair

At 37 years old, James is having one of his best seasons in the NBA, but the Lakers are just 26-31 after 57 games and are in danger of missing the playoffs. Despite LeBron James’ 26 points, 15 rebounds, and eight assists on Saturday night, the Lakers dropped their third game in a row and their seventh in the past nine.

The Russell Westbrook experiment has failed miserably, Anthony Davis can’t seem to stay healthy, and the supporting cast isn’t up to pace with James’ previous teams. To make matters worse, the Lakers declined to make any deals before the trade deadline to improve their team, and they now seem to be doomed to miss the playoffs in the first round.

According to LeBron’s recent statements, he is well aware of the situation.

Despite losing to the Warriors, LeBron James may have given Lakers fans new hope.
