The NBA playoffs are underway and with this year’s playoff format, there hasn’t been a series yet that has gone the distance. The current dominance of the Golden State Warriors is earning them criticism from some pundits who say it’s not fair for teams to have their seasons end before they can prove themselves more worthy.

The “Who will be the Jets starting RB” is a question that has been asked for over a month now. The Jets have yet to announce their starter, but there are some names being thrown around. Read more in detail here: who will be the jets starting rb.

Over the space of one day, New York Jets quarterback Mike White went from obscure backup to Hall of Famer. White, who was filling in for injured No. 2 overall selection Zach Wilson, had an NFL debut unlike any other. That achievement earned him a trip to the Player Football Hall of Fame for some of his collectibles, as well as a new moniker for the third-year pro.

Mike White’s jersey and game ball were sent to Canton immediately after his remarkable accomplishment.

He has the most completions by a quarterback in their first start, with 37. In addition, he became just the second quarterback since 1950 to pass for 400 yards or more in his debut. #TakeFlight

Mike White of Western Kentucky was selected in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. After a season in Big D, he was picked up by the New York Jets, and after a training camp duel with James Morgan, he was named the Jets’ backup quarterback.

After Zach Wilson was knocked out of the Week 7 game against the New England Patriots, the quarterback threw his first regular-season NFL passes. White made his first start for the Jets against the then-NFL darlings, the Cincinnati Bengals, the following week.

White stole the spotlight in a game that was meant to be the coronation for Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase.

When the dust cleared, the Jets had won their second game of the season, 34-31 against the Bengals, but White was the story.

A remarkable day for the first-time starter. He completed 37 of 45 passes for 405 yards and three touchdowns. That is the most completions by a quarterback in his first start, and he joins Cam Newton (422 yards in 2011) as the only quarterbacks to pass for over 400 yards in their first game.

We don’t know whether this outstanding performance is an exception or the start of a Hall of Fame career. Whether or whether White gets inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, his jersey and game ball will be displayed in Canton, Ohio.

Behind a plaque that says “Historic First Start on Halloween,” the game-worn jersey and ball are now on display in the hallowed football halls.

A teammate of the quarterback praised him and gave him an NSFW moniker.

“Mike f’ing White is who you’re looking for. He’s a savage, a hound, and an animal all rolled into one. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. I’m going to say it again.” – Ty Johnson BFbGEFGfpH pic.twitter.com

When you come in as a backup quarterback and turn in a historic performance, you need a name that people remember. You’ll need a catchy name to get people’s attention.

The Dallas Cowboys Cooper Rush and the New Orleans Saints Trevor Siemian both won games despite not playing as well as the Jets quarterback. They both have powerful, distinctive names.

Mike White has a pretty common name, therefore he needs a nickname that will remain in the minds of NFL fans throughout the nation. That’s where New York Jets running back Ty Johnson comes in, and it’s probably why he gave him a catchy new moniker: Ty Johnson.

Mike’ F’ing’ White is who you’re looking for. He didn’t say anything about cussing, but come on, it’s Mike’ F’ing’ White. Let’s call it a day. Mike’ F’ing’ White is who you’re looking for. He’s a savage, a hound, and an animal all rolled into one. It was something I said on Monday. He’s a dog, he’s an animal, I’ll say it again, and I’ll keep repeating it. Let’s maintain things that way.

Mike White vs. Ty Johnson

Whether or not you intend to use White’s new moniker, you have to agree it adds a little spice to an otherwise uninteresting name.

The former Hilltopper will have an immediate opportunity to live up to his moniker — and once again be a savage, a dog, and an animal — when the Jets take on the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday Night Football in Week 9.

On ‘Thursday Night Football,’ Mike ‘F’ing’ White seeks to solidify his reputation against the Indianapolis Colts.

The Legend of Mike “F’in” White continues this week in primetime against the Colts in a Thursday Night Football clash.

The Jets visit Indy in the middle of an up-and-down season, as seen by their 3-5 record. After losing back-to-back games with an injured Carson Wentz to open the season, the club has rebounded to go 3-2 in their past five games, with both defeats coming in overtime.

White will face a Colts defense that has given up 25 points or more in five of their first eight games and is 20th in the league in passing yards and 31st in passing touchdowns.

If the Colts’ defense can contain White and make him appear like the run-of-the-mill backup quarterback he was just a week ago, White’s Week 8 performance, his unusual moniker, and his Hall of Fame performance will be forgotten.

However, if White shines once again, the consequences will be enormous.

Wilson will have to start thinking about losing his job, and Jets fans and the New York media will be giddy like they haven’t been since the days of Broadway Joe.

It’s all thanks to Mike “F’in” White.
