The Green Bay Packers wide receiver is the only player in the NFL with more than 1,000 yards receiving and 500 yards rushing. He’s also a threat as a kick returner and has been one of Aaron Rodgers’ most reliable targets.
Davante Adams is a wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers. He has been a staple in their offense since his rookie year and has seen success with them. In an interview, he says there are only 2 ways to try and stop him but won’t reveal 1 of them.
Davante Adams is the greatest wide receiver in the NFL, if not the best. Despite missing two games, the Green Bay Packers wide receiver topped the NFL in touchdown catches last season. He and Aaron Rodgers have formed a bond that makes it tough to stop them.
Adams has said that there are only two methods to stop him. Last week, the San Francisco 49ers tested one of them, and he won’t say which one.

What makes Adams so unique is that everyone knows he’s going to catch the ball, yet he still does. For years, the Packers have lacked a reliable No. 2 receiver. Despite the additional attention he gets from defensive backs, he has put up huge statistics.
Adams has a high level of self-assurance. In 14 games a year ago, he had 1,374 receiving yards. He scored 18 touchdowns on his way to his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl appearance. Adams was asked in November whether he thought he was the greatest receiver in the league.
According to Packers.com, Adams replied, “I believe that’s fair to say.” “I don’t believe that’s arrogant. That’s simply being self-assured. I believe that what I’ve done and will continue to do will demonstrate it to anybody who isn’t on board with that.
“At the end of the day, I’ll tell you yeah, definitely, I believe I’m the greatest wide receiver in the game, but there are a lot of factors that play into that.”
Davante Adams claims that there are only two methods for teams to stop him, and then he disappears.

Adams has improved after a dreadful first week in which the Packers were humiliated by the New Orleans Saints. He has 20 receptions for 253 yards and a score in his past two games. He has 12 catches for 132 yards and a touchdown last week against the 49ers.
Jimmie Ward of San Francisco floored Adams midway through the fourth quarter on what looked to be a dirty play, but no foul was called. Adams lingered on the grass for a while. He unexpectedly returned to the game after a trip to the medical tent and helped lead the Packers to a 30-28 comeback win.
He said that he returned to the game because he was “different.”
“Well, I’m different, so that’s how I’m able to go through it. “It’s definitely the most important thing,” Adams told Packers.com. “I’ve dealt with a lot of things like that, and it takes a lot of mental fortitude to go in there,” says the author. It wasn’t a concussion, by the way. They assessed and observed on the sidelines straight away. I was on the straight and narrow. My chest, more than anything else on the ground, was having difficulty getting a breath, but it was OK now.”
Adams discussed how the club can stop him, according to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. “There are two,” Adams said. “In the (49ers) game, they attempted one, but I revived. “There’s one more.”
He didn’t go into detail.
Behind Adams, the Packers are still searching for a No. 2 receiver.
Amari Rodgers was selected in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Packers, bolstering their wide receiver group. The Packers have traditionally avoided wide receivers in the draft, but they need to provide Aaron Rodgers with another reliable option in the passing game. Randall Cobb was also brought back as insurance.
According to Packers.com, head coach Matt LaFleur said at the start of training camp, “When you have an exceptional receiver like (Adams), a genuine, true No. 1 in my opinion the best in the business, you’re always going to try to integrate him and make him a major part of your game plan.”
“What it does is, if teams want to concentrate on him and take him away, you now have another guy out there (in Cobb) who understands how to create and separate, and you can sort of go in a different route. It simply adds another player to the defense’s list of concerns.”
Marquez Valdes-Scantling has had the chance to establish himself as a reliable No. 2, but his play has been erratic. Valdes-Scantling finished second in receptions with three against the 49ers, with Adams having 12 catches.
There’s Adams and everyone else for the time being, and there doesn’t seem to be any way to stop him. There is, but he wants to keep it a secret.
