Dallas Cowboys quarterback and Rookie of the Year Dak Prescott has been confident from day one, but that confidence hasn’t always translated into wins for his team. That’s why he is so frustrated with reporters who keep telling him about a ‘slump’ on his part.
The “dallas cowboys dak prescott” is a quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys. On Thursday, Dak Prescott dismissed the idea that he is in a slump. He said that his team’s performance was not affected by him and that it was reporters who were saying he was struggling.
So much for the Dallas Cowboys offense’s difficulties. Prescott, Dak and his team eventually exploded after a friendly wager between the Dallas defense and offense.
The Cowboys dominated the Washington Football Team 56-14 on Sunday Night Football, including a staggering 42-point first half.
Prescott was nasty with reporters after the game when they inquired about the offense’s recent downturn, and the Cowboys star wasn’t having it.
After a difficult series of games, the Cowboys offense grabbed the spotlight.

For almost everyone in a Dallas jersey, the first half was electrifying. Prescott passed for 320 yards and four touchdowns. Ezekiel Elliott scored two touchdowns, Amari Cooper and Dalton Schultz both received touchdown passes, and offensive guard Terence Steele also scored.
All of this happened in the first half, thanks to DeMarcus Lawrence’s pick-six against Taylor Heinicke.
After scoring just five offensive touchdowns in the previous three games, the performance against Washington on Sunday was much-needed.
Prescott had four touchdowns, Elliott had two, and Malik Turner scored on a Cooper Rush touchdown throw as the Cowboys cruised to win.
Hopefully, the troubles are over, and Prescott was having none of it in the postgame news conference.
When questioned about the Cowboys’ recent offensive slumps, Prescott makes an arrogant retort to reporters.

Despite the fact that Prescott’s and the offense’s previous weeks didn’t go as planned, Week 16 went off without a hitch. Despite a 42-point win against a divisional opponent, the offense scored six total touchdowns, which is more than they had scored in the previous three games.
What could possibly be better?
Prescott, on the other hand, wasn’t pleased with the Cowboys’ recent struggles and made an arrogant comment (h/t Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk).
“You’re telling me?” I never said that we were in a rut. That was your exact phrase. I believe it would be difficult for you to say that today.”

To be honest, it’s difficult to say that today. Except for CeeDee Lamb, who had four receptions for 66 yards on the evening, everyone got involved.
Oh, and remember Cooper’s remarks about wanting to be more engaged from earlier in the week? On a team-high 11 targets, he had seven receptions for 85 yards and a touchdown.
The Cowboys are back, and if things go their way, they might nab the NFC’s top seed.
With two games left in the regular season, the Cowboys move to 11-4 and hold the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs.

The Cowboys won the NFC East and are now the second seed in the NFC, behind the Green Bay Packers, after beating Washington.
The Arizona Cardinals were defeated by the Indianapolis Colts on Christmas Day, while the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Los Angeles Rams are both 11-4 following Sunday’s victory.
For the time being, the Cowboys are ranked second, and they play the Cardinals and the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 18, which might be a win-and-in situation for the Eagles.
Nonetheless, the Cowboys’ offensive woes have gotten a lot of attention in the last month, and properly so. Prescott and the bunch seem to be back, and what a time to put up a 56-point effort.
Pro Football Reference provided the statistics.
