The Arizona Cardinals are picking a player in the first round of this year’s NFL draft. Who do you think they’ll pick?
The “3-round mock draft 2022” is a mock draft for the Arizona Cardinals. The team has not yet won a Super Bowl, but they have had many great players in their history.
Don’t worry, Kyler Murray is set to return to the Arizona Cardinals for another season. Despite cleansing his social media and making noise about seeking a new deal, the talented quarterback isn’t going just yet.
With that in mind, after reaching the playoffs in 2021, the Cardinals will need to replace some voids. The most significant departures were Chase Edmonds, who signed with the new-look Miami Dolphins, Christian Kirk, who signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Chandler Jones, who signed with the Las Vegas Raiders.
The NFC West will once again be competitive, which means the Cardinals must dominate the NFL Draft in 2022. With the first three draft selections, they might go in this manner.
Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State, 1st round, No. 23 overall

There’s an argument to be made that Jahan Dotson is a top-three wide receiver in this draft class. In this exercise, though, he trails Drake London, Treylon Burks, and Garrett Wilson, and he might be pursued after Chris Olave as well, depending on how the chips fall.
Nonetheless, the Cardinals rejoice at the chance to draft Dotson, an electrifying wide receiver who can come in and produce a ton of targets right away. The Cardinals need another wide receiver now that Kirk has left and A.J. Green is still a free agent. It’s just DeAndre Hopkins and Rondale Moore for the time being.
Dotson has all of the traits to be a productive NFL wide receiver, catching 91 passes for 1,182 yards and 12 touchdowns in his last year in college. Dotson set a career high with 11 catches for 242 yards and a hat trick of touchdowns against Maryland.
Dotson’s outstanding Pro Day certainly enhanced his draft value, and Murray would love to have him in Arizona.
Roger McCreary, CB, Auburn, second round, No. 55 overall
The Cardinals choose Auburn CB Roger McCreary in the second round to fill another critical need. Arizona contemplated picking a cornerback in the first round, but Andrew Booth Jr., Derek Stingley Jr., Trent McDuffie, and Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner had all already been selected.
As a result of their patience, the Cardinals wind up with a major steal in Round 2. Despite an outstanding career at Auburn, McCreary has fallen off selection charts for whatever reason.
He’s speedy and can match up with NFL-type wide outs, so he’d get a lot of work with the Cardinals right away. It also helps that McCreary has competed against top-tier SEC players in college over the last three years.
Cole Strange, IOL, Chattanooga, 3rd round, No. 87 overall

On Day Two of the NFL Draft, Cole Strange is a popular name. He may play anywhere from the third through the fourth quarter, but the Cardinals choose the Chattanooga product to aid the offensive line.
Strange started 44 games throughout his collegiate career, with almost all of them coming at left guard. He did, however, spend time at tackle and even a short stint at center, demonstrating his versatility and positional flexibility.
Strange went unnoticed owing to his affiliation with Chattanooga, but he created a reputation for himself in the Reese’s Senior Bowl, when he outperformed some of the finest defenders in the nation, as illustrated above.
His stature (6’6′′, 301 lbs.) is unparalleled, and he can be a great rotational component for Arizona in Year One. Strange has the potential to be a full-time starter as he matures and becomes used to NFL play. The Cardinals recognize the importance of protecting Murray, and Strange’s selection in the third round is a home run.
