The Indianapolis Colts are in serious need of a tight end, as they have no depth at the position and their starter is on injured reserve. However, despite having an open roster spot for Gronkowski, it’s not certain that he will sign with them. Why not join them if you can defeat them so easily? Gronkowski should definitely explore joining the Colts ahead of the 2022 season if he decides not to retire for the second time in four years.

Gronk has a way of proving everyone wrong. From 2020 to 21, he caught 100 passes for 1,425 yards and 13 touchdowns in 28 regular-season games, helping the Buccaneers win Super Bowl 55. During the 2020 season, the Arizona product appeared in all 16 games.
Gronkowski has remained a deadly weapon in the passing game as he has grown older. He also shown that he could flourish as a third or fourth receiver option without having to demand targets or play 90 percent of the offensive plays every week.
Gronkowski’s presence in the locker room might be very beneficial to the Colts, particularly following the team’s collapse in 2021.

Gronkowski is the same fun-loving guy he’s always been, willing to take as many hard hits as he can if it means his team has a greater chance of winning. He’s a fighter who fights through ailments, even if it means he’ll have to have surgery at some point.
Detractors contend that such a mindset is rooted in “toxic masculinity” or is based on an obsolete assumption. However, whether they’re in high school or making millions of dollars in the NFL, players gather behind those who never give up. There’s a reason why former outfielder Paul O’Neill’s No. 21 will be retired by the New York Yankees. His tenacity and leadership helped the Yankees win four World Series victories from 1996 to 2000, despite not being inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
The Colts really need a star like Gronkowski, particularly after their season-ending collapse in 2021. Indianapolis is allegedly contemplating dealing quarterback Carson Wentz, and it’s not only because of his bad performance towards the conclusion of the season, which led to the team’s failure to make the playoffs. The company is apparently annoyed by his lack of vaccinations and determination to put himself ahead of the squad.
Simply simply, Gronkowski is a superior tight end option than the Colts’ existing choices.
Gronkowski is growing older, but he still has the ability to play at a high level. The truth is that Gronkowski is just superior than both Jack Doyle and Mo-Alie Cox, the latter of whom is set to become an unrestricted free agent this spring.
Doyle, a free agent after next season, had 29 receptions for 302 yards and three touchdowns last season. Cox, a former starting big for VCU’s men’s basketball team, had a career-high four touchdowns and 24 receptions for 316 yards. Both are good players, and Doyle has been selected to the Pro Bowl twice.

With his presence in the Colts’ scheme, head coach Frank Reich may be able to finally make tight end a regular target.
Is Gronkowski the icing on the cake for the Colts’ first Super Bowl appearance in almost a decade? No, most likely not. His play style and demeanor, on the other hand, would be welcome additions to a club trying to put a poor 2021 season behind them.
